Yay, yay, YAY! Lots to celebrate this weekend...

1) Can I just say how thrilled I am to be settling into a blogging routine?!

2) I am over-the-moon to be documenting two incredibly momentous occasions for some very special people this weekend!

3) and... I am ecstatic to finally share some highlights from this sweet engagement session with you all!

Right before Christmas, I met up with Heather and her fiancé Mike on his family's gorgeous lakeside property for a beautiful, wintry afternoon filled with snuggles, blankets, coffee, and a campfire. While I was really (REALLY) bummed out about not being available to shoot their wedding this upcoming summer, I was so grateful for the opportunity to spend some quality time with them just before the holidays and capture these moments for them.

Enjoy!!! xo

Would you look at this face?! Meet Heather and Mike's sweet rescue, Blue. Dapper AND photogenic!

I have had the tremendous pleasure of knowing Camille for the better half of a decade now. She is an insanely talented pianist + vocalist who makes up 1/2 of the local musical duo J2. (The other 1/2 of J2, John, dates my cousin Samantha... which is how I originally met this sweet girl!) Roger popped the question to his longtime love and high school sweetheart on Christmas Eve. (Side note: I would be fibbing if I told you I wasn't anxiously waiting to hear from them from the second I saw they were engaged. Oh, the delight when I received the inquiry for their August nuptials!)

On an unusually warm February afternoon, we got together for their engagement session which was filled with so much laughter, silliness, and love (oh, and a little bubbly, too!). When Camille and I first sat down to discuss their wedding, she asked me if it would be weird to take engagement photos in their apartment. I geeked out a bit, because it was brilliant, honest, and unique. Twenty, 30, 40 years from now, they want to look back and remember where it all began, in their sweet little house apartment in Dunmore. So, we spent the day making pancakes, listening to Jack Johnson, snuggling on the couch (well, they did, haha!), and roaming around Roger's beautiful family property to soak up the last bit of sunshine that day.

I hope you enjoy a few highlights from what was a sweet and super-duper-fun afternoon with these crazy-in-love kids!

The Sahdev Family

With each lifestyle session, I fall more in love with documenting such honest and intimate moments. I recently visited with my dear friends Shilpa and Gaurav and their sweet baby girl Sanam to capture her 10-month portraits. First of all, I could just eat Sanam right up - she's 110% edible! Second, it was such a joy to see these two amazing parents in action! Truly, I cannot express how my heart sings when my clients, my friends, trust me to come into their home and help tell their own precious and priceless stories.

Don't let time pass you by. Take the opportunity to capture everyday moments in all their perfect imperfection now. I promise you won't regret it!

Enjoy a little peek into the wonderful morning I shared with the Sahdevs!
